GeoMapper is a tool for visualizing geospatial data, in particular data from [GRO.data](https://data.goettingen-research-online.de/), the [Dataverse](https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse) repository of the University of Göttingen.
It is originally based on [geotiff.io](https://github.com/GeoTIFF/geotiff.io/), an application for displaying GeoTiffs in the browser. However, it has since been extended to support also other common geospatial files: GeoJSON, [zipped shapefiles](https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/developers/geospatial.html), KML, and CSV with columns for latitude and longitude coordinates.
